    SFU Woodward's Cultural Programs is pleased to partner with Aprons for Gloves for a third year to present The Restaurant Rumble Fight Night at SFU's Goldcorp Centre for the Arts. On Wednesday July 23rd, 2014 at the SFU Fei and Milton Experimental Wong Theatre, bartenders, baristas, chefs and dishwashers will be taking off their aprons and putting on their gloves to fight each other for the title of Restaurant Rumble champions and to raise money for a great charitable cause!

    The Vancouver Queer Film Festival kicks off for its 26th year of celebrating queer lives from August 14-24, 2014, highlighting the intersections between sexuality, gender, culture and ability. Illuminating queer lives through film.

    For 26 years, Out On Screen has proudly showcased films that illuminate the transformative moments in the lives of queer people – telling stories of the journeys taken to find ourselves, and each other. This is a festival that is creating social change through film, education and dialogue.

    The VQFF returns to SFU for a second year of cultural partnership with SFU Woodward's Cultural Programs.

    The 12th Annual Vancouver Latin American Film Festival (VLAFF)

    The 12th annual Vancouver Latin American Film Festival runs from August 28th until September 7th, 2014 and will celebrate the distinct Latin American style and artistic approach to cinema, while avoiding the clichés that many often associate with "latin" culture.

    VLAFF's film selection has been recognized internationally for a curatorial vision that honours both new Latin American filmmakers and more established artists.

    VLAFF returns to SFU in partnership with SFU Woodward's Cultural Programs for a fourth consecutive year.

    A collaborative effort and co-presentation with Dancers Dancing and SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs, "20.20.20" captures the vibrant atmosphere of urban Vancouver in all of its complexities, from a uniquely authentic lens.

    Celebrating 20 years of working in Vancouver, choreographer Judith Garay looks at 20 intersections in the city to set 20 dancers in motion inspired by interactions of  architecture, pigeons, overpasses, green spaces, mountain views, skateboards and especially the people - old and young.
