Canada’s boundary-breaking theatrical genius returns with another must-see event. The Blue Dragon is the sequel to Robert Lepage’s brilliant The Dragon’s Trilogy and marks the return of that play’s central figure, an artist who re-surfaces in Shanghai 20 years later. Set in the effervescent paradox that is modern China, The Blue Dragon bears all the hallmarks of Lepage’s original hi-tech wizardry and storytelling magic.
...no one tells a simple story about complex people with more beauty... a wholly satisfying experience...
– Vancouver Sun
Lepage covers a lot of personal and political territory, and The Blue Dragon combines its various elements in a rich and visually dazzling way... Lepage amazes us again and again.
– Vancouver Courier
